Animations Setup Wizard

Introduction

CamTrack 2 allows you to convert Flash movies to standard CamTrack animations. You can create your own webcam animations, share them with your friends, and even upload your animations to our gallery.

You can use any Flash movie, although we suggest using Flash movies that are 320 pixels wide and 240 pixels high. This ensures that the correct proportions of the animation remain intact during conversion.

Using the Animations Wizard

Starting the Wizard

To start the wizard, click 'Start' > 'All Programs' > 'DigitalPeers' > 'CamTrack' > 'Import a Flash Movie'. On the Welcome page, click Next.

Selecting the Flash Movie

Select Flash Movie Dialog

On the next page, use the Browse button to find and select your Flash movie. You also need to specify the category of the animation. Your animation will appear in the 'Select Animation' dialog box according to the category you select from the menu. Click Next when you finish.

Creating the Button of the Animation

On the next page, you must specify the images that create the button for the animation. All CamTrack animations have a special button in the CamTrack user interface that activates and stops the animation. These buttons are made of three images, one for each state of the mouse pointer (up, over, and down). CamTrack accepts only PNG images that are 74 pixels wide and 60 pixels high. If you select images with different size or format, you receive an error message. Click Next when you finish.

On the last page of the wizard, you specify the path for the newly created animation. Once you do this and click Next, the animation is created and placed in the specified path.

To install and test your new animation, browse to the path you specified on the last page of the wizard and double-click the new CamTrack file.

You can now find your new animation in the 'Select Animation' dialog box, under the category that you specified.

Posting Your Animation in Our Gallery

Want to share your animations with other CamTrack users? Send the animations to us. Appropriate animations will be displayed in our gallery and their creators will receive full credit for their work.
