Rules and Regulations
Beginning Monday November 20th, 2006, and throughout the contest period, the rules and regulations of the 'Flash Animation Contest for CamTrack' will be as follows:
How to Enter:
Send your submissions to the animation contest on or before December 31th, 2006.
How to Win:
DigitalPeers staff will judge the entries according to the following:
- Usefulness in chat rooms
- Good taste
- Creativity
- Use of the webcam medium
- Visual impact
Prizes:
GRAND PRIZE
- $500.00 (USD)
SECOND PLACE
- $200.00 (USD)
THIRD PLACE
- $100.00 (USD)
NEXT 30 TOP SUBIMISSIONS
- A free license for CamTrack 2.3.
Conditions:
- Contestants may send as many submissions as they want.
- Contestants agree that they will not:
- Submit material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless they are the owners of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material and to grant DigitalPeers all of the license rights granted herein.
- Publish falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage DigitalPeers or any third party.
- Submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate.
- Post advertisements or solicitations of business.
- Impersonate another person.
- DigitalPeers expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with User Submissions. DigitalPeers does not permit copyright infringing activities and infringement of intellectual property rights on its Website, and will remove all content and contestant submissions if properly notified that such infringes on another's intellectual property rights. DigitalPeers reserves the right to remove contestant's submissions without prior notice.
- DigitalPeers reserves the right to decide whether a contestant submission is appropriate and complies with the above conditions.
- Prize winners must provide name, address, phone number and date of birth.
- Prize winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes that are applicable.
- By submitting an entry to the competition, the contestant grants DigitalPeers a permanent, non-exclusive license to host the animation, either individually or as part of a larger collection. DigitalPeers will always include credit to the original author and display a link to his or his sponsor's site, if desired.
- Any person violating any of the above rules may be required to forfeit the prize.
General:
The official rules may be modified at any time during the contest period with such changes announced and available at the website of DigitalPeers.
